Its clean, simple design has the timeless appeal of an old farmhouse or country kitchen, where enamel pieces like this were valued for being practical, durable, and easy to keep clean.

Collected Notes
Enamelware, made by fusing a glass coating onto metal, became a household staple in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, prized for being lightweight, affordable, and hard-wearing. White enamel with a contrasting dark rim was one of the most popular and enduring styles, used everywhere from kitchens and dairies to hospitals and bakeries. Today, vintage enamel pieces are much loved for their simple beauty and utilitarian character.

Why We Collected It
We love the clean contrast of the white body and black rim, a simple combination that never goes out of style. The two handles make it as useful as it is good-looking, and it has the kind of honest, everyday character we're always drawn to.

Tisbury House Styling Notes
Use this tray to serve coffee, tea, or breakfast in bed, or set it on a kitchen counter to corral oils, salt, and utensils. It also makes a lovely base for a vignette of candles, small plants, or pottery on a coffee table or sideboard, and pairs beautifully with other enamelware, wood, and linen for a relaxed farmhouse look.
